For those who enjoy a more relaxed pace, the Cruising Fleet organizes several port-to-port voyages and parties throughout the year. Both sail and power boaters join in on these journeys, with others traveling by "land yacht" to be part of the onshore festivities.
The Cruising Fleet has a three-pronged purpose:
- To Socialize: At the Club and on trips, the fleet arranges fun, themed meals featuring crafty cocktails and delicious chili.
- To Educate: From living the cruising life in the islands to celestial navigation, the fleet hosts seminars and informational sessions on topics.
- To Journey: The fleet cruises together, in flotillas or by land, to different Lake Michigan ports of call.
