Comments: I've lived in Illinois for most of my life, but just recently relocated to the Chicago area. I don't have any quantifiable experience on the water, but I've sailed before as an Eagle Scout, and been around boats for a good portion of my life. I'd be more than happy to join any crew that loves to joke around and have fun on the water, while still being safe of course. And of course I'd be more than happy to bring the beer!

I've been been around sailing over 40 years, but always on swimsuit boats (Butterfly, Hobie Cat, etc.) and can sail very well on my own. Last year was my first year on a "Big Boat". I was on a Benetau 36.7 and mostly worked the Main and Jib, though I also handled the Helm for a portion of the overnight to Racine and did some time on the Spinnaker too. I'm willing to learn all other positions.

Look to race in the Mac. I'm a level 2 certified instructor. I have been on lots of big boats but I haven't perfected any skill yet. Learn pretty quickly.
